Policies
Change or Termination of Enrollment
Change of Parent/Provider Agreement
In the event that Parent or Sue Rowe's 1st Care for Children desires to change the terms of the Parent/Provider Agreement, a two-week notice must be given by and to either party, a new Parent/Provider Agreement must be signed and the new terms agreed upon. Examples of typical changes include changing child care days or schedule, changing drop-off or pickup times, etc.
Parent must provide Sue Rowe with at least four (4) weeks Notice of Termination of Enrollment of a child or children currently enrolled. Once the six (6) week trial period has been met by any enrolled child, Sue Rowe agrees to provide Parent with at least four (4) weeks notice of termination of enrollment.
Termination of Enrollment WITHOUT Notice by Sue Rowe
Sue Rowe's 1st Care for Children is not required to give four (4) weeks notice of termination of any enrolled child if the termination is for any of the following reasons:
1) failure of parent to pickup child in a timely manner, failure of parent to pickup child by the time specified in the Parent/Provider Agreement.
2) failure of parent to pay fees in a timely manner, failure of parents to pay fees as specified in the Parent/Provider Agreement and as agreed to in the Policies of Sue Rowe's 1st Care for Children.
3) severe behavior from parent or authorized adult which can include, but is not limited to, physically or verbally abusive behavior
4) a parent or authorized adult drops off or picks up child while under the influence of alcohol or other behavior/personality altering drug
Termination of Enrollment WITH Notice
A child may be discharged from the family Child Care home and parents will be given a four (4) weeks Notice of Termination for the following reasons:
1) when he or she has not adjusted in a reasonable length of time
2) child is no longer benefitting from the age group
3) child care home is no longer able to meet the child's needs
4) parent(s) are not complying with the policies of the child care home
What is the best time to transition your child to PreSchool?
I believe that the children in my care benefit most from this program when they are between the ages of 6 weeks through 4 years. I believe most children will benefit from at least a part-time large group preschool experience one year before they enter kindergarten.
