Meet the Assistant Provider/Teachers
Andrea Franco
- 18 years of age, from Fitchburg, she a student at UW-Platteville majoring in Biology and Pre-Med
- Andrea has many years of experience in early childhood including teaching 3-18 year old special needs kids at Camp Hero, Madison College plus nannying and babysitting.
- She is bilingual Spanish/English; her family is native to Colombia.
- Andrea likes working with young children because of the "variety of relationships and learning about behavior. Kids are also funny!"
- Andrea is methodical, kind, fair, and very patient. She is observant, calm, and happy when working with little ones.
Maggie Kinney
- Maggie, 22 years old, recently graduated from Edgewood College with a Child Life Major. Maggie will pursue a graduate degree this fall.
- Maggie has many years of nannying experience. She currently works at UW Children's Hospital for an internship.
- She also works as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Meriter Hospital.
- Maggie is patient, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dedicated when working with little ones. We're grateful she is going to grad school in Madison and can work with us this fall.
Amanda Ruchti
- Amanda started helping us in the fall of 2017 as an intern at UW-Madison majoring in Human Development & Family Studies. She also completed her Nursing Degree in 2019.
- She worked for us as a child care assistant and she's now a Lead Provider.
- Amanda has many years of nannying, teaching, and caregiver experience.
- She likes working with young children because "it's fun to watch them grow and learn!"
- Amanda is cheerful, kind, observant, and calm when working with young children!
Sophie Smith
- From Belleville, 22-year-old Sophie has many years of nannying and babysitting experience.
- She worked for 4 years at Grace Church Daycare, caring for infants through age 7, and at the church's Sunday nursery.
- Sophie is a weekly caregiver for youngest siblings of Verona Home Schoolers Classical Conversation events (infants through age 5).
- Sophie is certified in CPR.
- She is dedicated, kind, loving, and patient when working with young children.
- Sophie likes working with young children because "they are sweet, innocent little people!"
