The Child Care Home May Close for Some Vacation Days. Parents Need to Check the Side Entry Door
for the Posted Vacation Schedul
e A written vacation schedule will be posted on the bulletin board located in the entry hallway at the Child Care home home twice per year. This schedule will list the days the Child Care home will be closed during the following six (6) months and the days the child care home will be operated by substitute provider(s) while Sue is on vacation. The schedule is subject to change, though every effort will be made to give adequate notice (at least two weeks) prior to the Child Care home being closed. Parents are encouraged to check the bulletin board when children are dropped off or picked up on a regular basis for additions or changes in the vacation schedule.
The Child Care Home Closes for Bad Weather Events When Verona Area Schools Are Also Closed
Be sure to check local stations or the internet for schools closings. The child care home will be closed for weather events such as snow storms when Verona Area Schools are also closed. There may be some weather events, however, during which the child care home may remain open even if Verona Schools are closed and will be announced to all families by email. If Verona Schools are closed, families should assume the child care home will also be closed unless they receive an email stating otherwise.
Backup Care Arrangement
Parents should find a Backup Care arrangement for times when the Child Care home is closed and a Substitute Provider is not available. I can assist parents in locating a Backup Care Arrangement by providing parents with names and phone numbers of other regulated providers in the area.
"Night Nannies"
Our Assistant Teacher/Providers often function as nannies if parents need an alternative care arrangement for their children. Parents are welcome to express a need and Sue Rowe will ask a Child Care Assistant to contact parent.
